Memory wire is hardened steel which is why it 'remembers' its shape, even if you pull it straight it will rebound to the original shape. NEVER - ever! - use your good jewellery cutters to cut memory wire. Using your jewellery cutters will literally put holes in the blades and may even shear off the tip. Use an old pair of cutters from the tool box or purchase an el-cheapo pair from the hardware store. Check out our memory wire 'How To.'
